Frequently Asked Questions
The therapist will review your intake information, filled out online prior to the first visit. We may ask you clarifying questions about some of your answers. We will provide you with information on the therapeutic process so you can gain a better understanding of it. You will be asked to sign a release of information form, and then we will go through other basic information to help the therapist gain a better understanding of your situation.
Treatment plans are goals and objectives that will help guide the therapeutic sessions. Therapists will often review the treatment plan with the clients to ensure that they are staying on track with what they are wanting to achieve with the therapy process.
You can view more insurance information here, which has the current list of insurances that each of our therapists offer. Each therapist may offer different insurances. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Some people have insurance, but do not want to use it because they do not want their insurance company to be involved. In this case, you can simply be a self-pay client, and we will not involve the insurance company.
Teletherapy is a video conference call that allows the therapist to provide therapy to you from the comfort of your own home (or wherever you are, as long as you are in the state of Kansas). You can see the therapist, and the therapist can see you.

Teletherapy can be beneficial in several cases.
- You don’t want to get out due to the weather or medical reasons
- It allows you to be out of town (not out of state) and still have your therapy session
- You might not have ever received therapy, and feel uncomfortable being seen in person
- Many other individualized reasons
Receiving therapy via Teletherapy could not be easier. All you need is:
- smart phone, tablet, or computer connected to the internet.
- If you are on a smart phone or tablet, you will only need to download an app.
- If you are on the computer, NO special software is needed! Our secure HIPAA compliant Teletherapy software will work in your internet browser! You do need a web camera (most laptops have them built in)
